How All One Tribe was born
One evening, seeking insight, I tuned into an interview featuring Bill Ackman, the billionaire investor. The discourse centered on the Ivy League's handling of the Israeli/Palestinian conflict and the ensuing protests that rippled through esteemed halls of learning.
Ackman's voice resonated with conviction, his words a testament to his unwavering support for one side of the narrative. He spoke of fairness, of the protection owed to Jewish students, and of the perceived failings of university presidents in navigating this tumultuous terrain. While his arguments held merit, it was his fervor, his unyielding allegiance to his "tribe," that struck a chord deep within me.
As the interview unfolded, a revelation dawned upon me: humanity's propensity to align with our “tribes”, often at the expense of objective truth. Throughout history, our divisions have been etched by ancestral grudges, by the insidious need to uphold the honor of our own while casting shadows upon the "other." We seek validation in echo chambers, elevating fragments that bolster our beliefs, proclaiming our tribe as superior, more righteous, more virtuous.
But what if, I pondered, we transcended these self-imposed boundaries? What if we embraced the notion that every soul is a mosaic of virtues and flaws, of light and darkness? What if we recognized that, beneath the myriad hues of our skin, the cacophony of our tongues, and the divergence of our creeds, we are all members of a singular, intricate tapestry, All One Tribe?
In that moment of clarity, the name for my apparel line was born: ALL One Tribe. It would stand as a beacon of unity, a call to look beyond superficial differences and to celebrate the shared essence of our humanity. Through my designs, I aspired to weave stories that resonate with the collective heartbeat of mankind, fostering empathy, understanding, and harmonious coexistence.
Thus, ALL One Tribe emerged, not merely as a brand, but as a movement, a testament to the belief that in unity, we find our true strength, and in embracing our shared journey, we discover the profound beauty of being human.
Toda Una Tribu, because Love is a habit of the heart.
